No change to Chapter 5? In BLFS, a new version almost always makes at
least a small change in SBU and needed disk space. These are unchanged
here. Were they checked?

Not yet, so far I've only touched the obvious parts of this. There
isn't a great deal of point in attempting to build this until most of
the planned changes are in (particularly, the glibc change(s)).
