It don't work from the command line for me:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat >> test << EOF
RUN+="/sbin/modprobe $modalias"
EOF
Yep, I always get confused about shell variable expansion in here
documents. This works though, and is slightly cleaner than the shell
escaping, IMO:
cat >> test << "EOF"
RUN+="/sbin/modprobe $modalias"
EOF
