#1818: /dev/cdrom got symlinked to /dev/sg0 --------------------------------------------+------------------------------- Reporter: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Owner: [email protected] Type: defect | Status: new Priority: high | Milestone: 6.2 Component: Book | Version: SVN Severity: major | Resolution: Keywords: | --------------------------------------------+------------------------------- Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
If we use the updated udev rules Alexander created here: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/~alexander/udev-config/udev- config-20060607-try2.tar.bz2 Then the cdrom rules are moved to contrib/ and not installed by default. Then a note could be made on the udev page and/or Ch. 7.4 to use the contributed cdrom alias rules with caution. -- Ticket URL: <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/ticket/1818> LFS Trac <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/> Linux From Scratch: Your Distro, Your Rules. -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
