I get the following failure trying to compile groffer from 1.18.1.3:

After posting to bug-groff, the maintainer says:
I'll soon release 1.18.1.4 which has this fixed. The SH_DEPS_SED_SCRIPT
variable has been introduced after 1.18.1, and it has slipped in while
updating the groffer script.
So, I'll hold off on upgrading groff until then.
