Still trying to setup something up for tomorrow but I'm waiting for confirmation from data centre. They don't usually do this work on weekends without calling somebody in for it. That would mean a charge I have to pay because I wanted tod to this outside standard business hours.
The new server install will also come with a new contract that will lower the monthly cost (smaller size server, less money) and they are drawing that up still. And I'm re-negotiating the monthly bandwidth we're allowed to use. Currently we're allowed to use 100 GB a month or so and there's been months we have been exceeding it. They've been nice not to charge for it, but that's going to end. They turned a blind eye for a year so that was nice. Now it's time to formalize this all. I'm game for tomorrow. The server is ready to go in. If they can get their stuff together it'll go in tomorrow and i'll spend some time Sat + Sun getting it live. If they can't get their stuff together I'll have to take a portion of Monday off work to get it done last thing in the afternoon just before close of business and work on getting the server fully up and running Mon evening + Tuesday. As soon as I have an actual date and time they can schedule me to come in to sign the new contract and do the physical swap I'll inform all -dev type lists. -- Gerard Beekmans /* If Linux doesn't have the solution, you have the wrong problem */ -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
