* status: new => closed * resolution: => wontfix Comment: So it does. That's odd, after the previous posting. Hey, whatever. ;-) Looking at one of the [http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/hotplug/udev.git;a=blobdiff;f=udevtest.c;h=9868c9bcd3b4bb571023fda27a4f8b562c183d2d;hp=9d73996bcf19c95fa946caddf9de4eaaed73a43c;hb=68d4af11cae0af3a8e06770228b16613700b363e;hpb=81313e1b48866efb9e40eb88420643de05275b56 commits] that got added to udev-109, I see that they added code to read a bunch of environment variables out of the sysfs uevent file. On 2.6.20.3, the uevent files aren't readable, but I assume that on newer kernels they are (however, I can't find anything in the lkml archives that says this got committed to anyone's tree; hmm). Anyway, so maybe the kernel will provide all the required environment variables (when userspace reads the uevent attribute) -- if that set of variables is accurate, then starting with v109, udevtest should start being much closer to what will really happen again. So yes, I'd say wontfix. -- Ticket URL: <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/ticket/1972#comment:5> LFS Trac <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/> Linux From Scratch: Your Distro, Your Rules. -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
