New version. Plenty of fixes detailed in CHANGES in the tarball. The
8-bit patch doesn't apply - the affected lines have been changed, so it
looks like that was fixed in a different matter. CHANGES says:
Removed test to detect control characters > 0x20 as this prevented
characters encoded in UTF-8 to be properly passed through
The fixes patch obviously isn't needed either, as that was just a CVS
snapshot.
