A question on that thread. In the first post you mention that part of the reason that the temporary Glibc isn't fully functional is because of the failing --as-needed option. You imply there that that switch is used/needed for all of Glibc's binaries. However in the followup post, the problem seems resolved when you just pass the 'have-as-needed=yes' option to the 'make check' command. Is it only the testsuite binaries that need that option?
