#2150: Kernel upgrade using patch files -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Reporter: Moody | Owner: [email protected] Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: Book | Version: SVN Severity: normal | Resolution: Keywords: | -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
Still, actually using the stable patch as the default method of obtaining the latest linux fixes would benefit me as a maintainer of the LiveCD. Reason: the book includes the MD5 sum of the stuff to download, and jhalfs checks this - so I should download this huge kernel myself each time it is updated, in order to build a CD with a working jhalfs. -- Ticket URL: <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/ticket/2150#comment:5> LFS Trac <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/> Linux From Scratch: Your Distro, Your Rules. -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
