Hmm, last time I heard from Ondřej Vašík (Red Hat maintainer, BCC'd for a reminder), that fix was going to be moved into the i18n patch, being that the LSB proper depends on it. It probably just slipped through the cracks since it is already fixed in the RH coreutils configuration patch. It's pretty trivial, but would be helpful to all who look to Red Hat for a proper coreutils to grab only the one patch. Maybe next update it'll be in there.
