I removed "as mentioned previously" because I wasn't able to find where 
this was mentioned previously. After going back and forth through the 
first pages of chapter 5, maybe my eyes have started to glaze over.

If it was mentioned somewhere in the book, we can put that clause back 
and put down *where* it was mentioned previously. If not, ignore this 
email/comment.
