I'm not sure on that. I believe it's there to make it so the the
generated PDF file doesn't break on the long line. :-)
(I'm not sure what the definition of "break" is here. But I know that
long lines have been split many times before because of the PDF.)

*If* this doesn't break the PDF, that would be fine by me... but I don't
have FOP and whatnot else installed locally to test it.
