I think "make defconfig" should be shortly mentioned on the kernel-page
(8.3.1) cause it makes a good preselection of the kernel-options for the
used architecture. In my opinion, a lot of unused things are dropped out
and it would result in a better kernel-configuration.
And I think that it would be very helpfully for unexperienced users. After
that these defaults can be changed with "make menuconfig" ...
