By BLFS I simply meant packages outside of LFS, not strictly those in the
BLFS book. Given the nature of the bugs, it's certainly possible that
folks may come across packages that trigger them. I realise that Dev86src
is old and looks unmaintained, but that doesn't mean that a regression in
Make should just be ignored. Bug 30723
(http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?30723), which the patch fixes, explicitly
mentions Glibc, which is obviously LFS material. I realise we never hit
that bug, but that's probably because we keep on top of upgrades which may
have worked around/avoided that particular issue.
