If you read *today's* version of the book,
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/development/chapter03/packages.html,
you will find the md5sum matches *today's* version of the boot script
tarball.
Tomorrow's md5sum will be different.
The md5sum in the development version of the book changes every day
because the boot scripts tarball is regenerated every day and the time
stamps change, even if the contents do not.
The stable book's md5sums are, well, stable.
