Comment:
Looks like the present editors agree on putting this into the book:
- It is referenced at several places as optional, and is used in the
instructions for subversion.
- Building perl bindings to subversion allows to build git-svn, which
allows git and svn repositories to communicate.
I think I can manage to "adopt" this package
