I've already committed a patch:
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/patches/downloads/libpipeline/libpipeline-1.5.2-check_fixes-1.patch
It will be in my next commit, but I'm still waiting for glibc-2.32 which
is overdue.
If upstream releases a new version, we can drop it.
