I fetched the LiveCD recently, burned the iso file to disc, since the Mac I
was using didn't understand how to burn an ISO, and then used the iso to burn
a disc with k3b.

Funny thing is, even though the CD contains all the right files and
directories, it doesn't boot?

The exact image I grabbed was lfslivecd-x86-6.0-1.iso from
ftp://gaosu.rave.org/pub/linux/lfs-livecd/

Did I miss something? I'm getting ready to steal^h^h^h^h^h borrow my daughters
Athlon 2600 with GeForce4-MX 440 PC to replace my 500Mhz PIII box with
Riva128.

Cheers,
