There are problems with LFS 5.0 and fedora, however it is a completly
different problem... i strongly suggest using lfs 6.0. Using fedora
core 2 i am able to successfully build lfs 6.0.

Maybe you made a typo somewhere... sorry i cant help in where, but
read the book, then try using nALFS. It just cuts down on typing,
making the job a little less tedious.
