Well, after lots of talk, procrastination and vacillating, I've finally
ordered my new PC.
Tyan Dual Opteron Motherboard with a pair of 248 Opterons, a few G of Ram and
a mid-range nVidia card.
With Case and power supply, Euro 1680 or so.
I should have it in about two weeks. Then I get to see how difficult it really
is to build a native 64 bit system with /lib /lib32 setup.
Next target is to see about getting either Maya or Houdini in 64 bit Linux
format.
I'm sure I'll have lots a questions. It's been a while since I built a system.
