I'm after easy ways to do it by point and click with KDE. I'm 300 miles away from him, and have to explain by email ;-) However, that said, he might be able to understand editing fstab better than mount. I still have to explain making a mount point, and that may mean superuser. These are all fairly difficult concepts for someone who only got his first computer at 80.
