Hi Sr. Jason Kircher,
I'm brazilian and I work with linux networks. Before all, please sorry
my english. Searching for some responses for my troubles in google I
found your post message in a forum, I saw that your problem was
something about boot on slackware and I have the same problem with my
linux server. I don't know if you has sucess in solve your problem,
but if you do, please I beg you to help me.My problem is on installing
slackware 10.2 in a computer with Athlon 64 bits, when I try to boot
on CD the following message appears:
code: ff 50 10 58 eb cf 90 57 56 53 8b 74 24 10 89 f2 c1 e2 04 8d
<0>Kernel panic: Attempted to kill init!
I think that the problem is because my CPU is an Athlon 64 bits and
perhaps slack 10.2 don't have support, I think that maybe there's some
parameter that I give on boot to do the slack detect my CPU.
Do you know whats paramater is this?
Do you have some solution to help me?
What did you do to solve your problem with your palm?
Since now, I'm very grateful for your attention.
