Hello all,
I know Jim Gifford has experience with his SPARC stuff as I've
seen it on the
mailing lists and talk about it in the IRC LFS support channel.
Recently, I have acquired some SPARC equipment and am slowly building
a SPARC system. It will all be housed in a Sun Ultra 60 system.
So far I will have acquired a quad fast ethernet card, two 450
processors,
2GB ram, and hopefully the Ultra 60 itself which was used in a cad
environment,
by the middle or end of next week. I think it will be exciting to
work with. All I've
dealt with so far are powerpc chips and x86 chips. Now I can venture
into UltraSparc
II world!
Anyone else besides Jim have experience with LFS and SPARC equipment?
Send in your comments. Also, it'd give us a chance to see who has
been using
SPARC and LFS.
