Hello World!
I found some nice eye candy today, a small gtk2 application that can
draw the Mandelbrot set (and other fractals). It's called gkII

It needs these data files
http://www.oskusoft.com/osku/gfract/gfract-palettes-0.1.tar.gz
The default is to install them in /usr/local/share/gfract/palettes but
you can put them where you want and edit gkII-0.4.2/main.c to look for
them in the right place. Check it out. Pretty pictures.
