Well, I got a GP2X, http://www.gp2x.co.uk fried the flash, then built a JTAG 
cable and re-flashed it. Now I'm fetching the build environment, and it's 
really LFS-ish.

The script fetches the original sources, patches them and then builds the 
cross-compiler. Really cool!

Development is simplified using SDL. The graphics are frame-buffer, so you 
just write SDL-based code, cross-compile it, then copy it to an SD-Card to 
run in the GP2X.

I'll let you all know what it's like, once I get the environment built and 
some coding done!
