>> Is there some "project page"? Well, not exactly... All the "knowledge" can be found at: http://www.kitepilot.com/LFS/A.-BUILD-NEW-MACHINE-README.txt http://www.kitepilot.com/LFS/B.-MANAGE-MACHINE-README.txt
I deliberately left out references to "how union-fs works" but I do provide pointers to places that explain the concept. If I see any interest I'll open a Sourceforge or Freshmeat page. What I like about my approach, is that I was able to build an LFS machine with minor departures from the book's procedures and accomplishing 2 long sought goals: 1.- Compile the whole book as an unprivileged user and verify that installation as root NEVER overwrites anything and 2.- I could leave behind a complete scripted record of the build along with "packages" that can actually be used. All is (hopefully) described on the links above, and the packages are the actual packages that I an cranking out and using to build my servers. Thanks!
