Swapptips 1. make it as big as you need :-) (how to determ that) 2. use your fastest AND most reliable disc to swap 3. use a swap partitition 4. use the first cylinders of your hdd to swap 5. plug more ram so that you don't need to have swapspace (always the best tip) -- H CUH Rainer Peter Feller H +------------------------------------------------------------------+ | From: Rainer Peter Feller| | Institut fuer | | The Linux-Expert | | Experimentalphysik | | | | Luruper Chaussee 149| | Telefon: 0049-40-8998-2118| | D-22761 Hamburg | | Telefax: 0049-40-8998-2787| | Building: 67 Room: 5| +------------------------------------------------------------------+ | E-Mail : [email protected] | +------------------------------------------------------------------+ | URLs : http://wwwiexp.desy.de/users/rainer http://p-linux.desy.de| +------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-chat FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
