Hi, I don't have any idea of building a livecd, but I went a couple of times through the following:
AC> 1. Create a tar ball of the LFS system and untar it in on a blank partition. AC> I have not tried this and so I don't know if it will actually be feasible. My experience is that it works and it works well. :) I moved a working lfs system from a VM-Ware VM to a VirtualBox VM and to my desktop pc and to my laptop as well. I had to build a new kernel because I didn't have all drivers, e.g. for my wlan card in my laptop. But beside this you can just untar your archive, setup grub and reboot. So I think, if you provide all eventually needed drivers, there should be no problem.
