not sure how many developers watch this mailing list, would get "more" coverage on [email protected]. If it was up to me (it's not), I would argue against maintaining more then one version of KDE 4 in the book at once, and instead would suggest updating the existing KDE4 chapter. I don't believe we have many packages that depend on KDE4's libraries outside of KDE, so package breakage would be minimal. I believe that the blfs development team is looking at ways to keep the book maintainable as well. I think we currently have 2 KDE groups, those who want a KDE3 experience, and those that want a KDE4 experience. I get the feeling that the KDE group is a smaller group, and I doubt there will be many benefits offering them both KDE 4.6 and KDE 4.7 in contrast to the maintenance/size costs. -- Nathan Coulson (conathan) ------ Location: British Columbia, Canada Timezone: PST (-8) Webpage: http://www.nathancoulson.com -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-chat FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
