Hi,

LFS is meant to teach you how to build a linux system from the ground up, so 
you are supposed to type in or copy and paste the commands from the book. 
Having said that, there is also alfs. This is the automated version. You give 
it a number of configuration files up front, and then it will do all the 
compiling on its own. Www.alfs.org I have once used it with the intention to 
test my new system under load, but ended up actually running the system.

If you ahev any questions, please dont hesitate to ask them, at the very least 
you show interrest in the project.
