Eliminating testing will mean that the text will be readed to unstable, right. Then, IMHO, the easy way is to update testing to current unstable packages and command. Then one of us copy their local testing files (all current files, includes stylesheets, but not .svn dirs) to their local unstable copy and do the big commit.
