Because the problem is actually if libc.a has been stripped with buggy binutils, removing the TLS information from the library. The only resolution would be to completely recompile Glibc.

No, LFS 6.0 uses 2.15.91.0.2. See:

The buggy strip was not fixed until 2.15.92.* HJL releases, IIRC.
