Hi folks.
I recreated the gcc4 branch this evening and have updated it so that
chapter 5 should compile using gcc-4.0.1. The branch is available to
view at http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/gcc4/, or you can check
out the source XML using:
`svn co svn://svn.linuxfromscratch.org/LFS/branches/gcc4/`
Please report any problems you have with the build here. Chapter 6 will
hopefully be updated regularly over the next week or so. Of course,
you're more than welcome to try things out yourself and let us know what
needs fixing up!
A word of warning though. If you do manage to get this thing to build,
moving on to BLFS stuff may be painful. Again, if you find you need
patches, or other changes to the build instructions for BLFS packages,
please let the BLFS developers know. Bear in mind though, that they're
gearing up for a release, so will unlikely address your comments
immediately.
