Well, the good news is it seems to be maintained again (a 2.0.0 version at berlios.de incorporating recent patches from debian and gentoo). The bad news is the layout of the source has been tidied up, moving the files around and apparently changing the build method. I guess this is now svn stuff rather than 6.1. Sorry for the noise.
