OK, so just to make sure I'm following you, you diff'd the build logs
between 1-2 and 2-3.  You also did farce on 1-2 or 1-3?

You make a good point, and binary diffing between 1-2 or 1-3 will
definitely help, and it should be known whether you can build LFS from
the alphabetical system.  I still believe that building Ch.6 from Ch.6
instead of the entire build is important.  See this old thread from
