Please don't. Discussions are always welcome, and encouraged. You'll find with a lot of projects, and LFS isn't immune to it, that sometimes there are things that are done because they are always done. The reasons may no longer apply and things should change. People just never like progress so much. That doesn't mean we shouldn't at least explore the possibilities.
