How do you know that is what is it for? This is the problem. I was hoping we could find something generic enough that provides some decent explanation without having to guess. What if it is actually used only for other packages to determine this information? See what I mean? It may not be used just by Firefox. I appreciate the help, and I'm probably overly-concerned about it, but I would like it to be something we *know* to be accurate. >>1. put it in .mozconfig and enable the option by default >>2. put it in .mozconfig, but commented out which disables it by default >>3. leave it out entirely, and just let folks use the .configure --help >> to figure out if they want it. > > Number 2 seems to be the most general and educational without adding > extra code to the binary. However, I think it also has to be enabled in > X in order to work. I believe it is default in X. At least the default host.def file I always use doesn't mention anything about it, and the xinerama libraries are built. -- Randy rmlscsi: [GNU ld version 2.15.94.0.2 20041220] [gcc (GCC) 3.4.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.4] [Linux 2.6.10 i686] 20:22:00 up 87 days, 5:46, 3 users, load average: 0.23, 0.71, 0.67 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
