As has been discussed before, and most agreeing, the verbiage in the LFS book that "recommends" using the package user hint should be removed. No offense against Matthias, but there is *so* many issues with this and it is something that is controversial to say the least. Can we please remove the "recommendation" that the package user hint be used? Or, can it be put in the book with better instructions that actually work? This was just recently discussed on {B}LFS-Dev and it was determined by the majority that we shouldn't be recommending any package management system. -- Randy rmlscsi: [GNU ld version 2.15.94.0.2 20041220] [gcc (GCC) 3.4.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.4] [Linux 2.6.10 i686] 20:56:00 up 119 days, 6:20, 3 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.06 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
