Add Bash patches 009 and 010 from upstream
Matt, patch 010 breaks the Grep testsuite. I've just received word from
upstream that the patch is wrong and a new one will be forthcoming.
Sigh.. even tho' jhalfs provides the facility to prevent this kind of
damage, LFS unstable is still living up to its name :-(
Well, yes. Having jhalfs available and using it are two completely
different things. I'll take full blame for the breakage as all I did
was test that the new patch applied and that bash built and installed
successfully - i.e. I *didn't* run through a full build. Even then, I
managed to screw the patch up - somehow 'patch' managed to generate a
jobs.orig file which then wound its way into the final LFS patch.
Thanks go to Jim for spotting and correcting that screw up, and thanks
to you, Greg, for noticing the breakage in the Grep testsuite.
As regards to LFS unstable living up to its name, that's probably
because we chose the right name for it, i.e. we don't try and pretend
that it's something it isn't. I don't see why you thought a :-( was
necessary. Yes, testing could have been more thorough, but builds take
so long on my box I thought I'd be able to sneak that little change in
there.
Regards,
Matt.
