Does this mean that the hotplug bootscript was never needed? Or that
it is needed for the current SVN setup, yet it was inadvertently
pulled out of the bootscript version Archaic updated to the other
day?
One other note, the BLFS Bootscripts have an LFS-Bootscripts.version
file in them that says that the BLFS Bootscripts are compatible with
version 3.2.1 of the LFS Bootscripts.
Seems to me that the BLFS Bootscripts should be in sync with the LFS
bootscripts. Can someone tell me if the existing BLFS SVN Bootscripts
are compatible with the current LFS SVN bootscripts?
Thanks.
Yes, backwards compatibility is, and has been a concern for a long time
that has caused us to jump through many hoops. I plan to go through
BLFS bootscripts soon. Oh that reminds me of something, a problem with
the hal bootscript failing when rebooting from single user mode (may
have been updated already). I'll check it out in a few hours and post
to BLFS Dev if the problem still exists (or jsut fix it if it's an easy
fix).
