While going through the diff, I was trying to weed out comments that were either fixed or no longer apply. I don't know the status of all of them, and weeding them out also means that I'm the only person who will see those lines standing out in the diff. I'd like more eyes to look at it, so I've decided to let the commit go through as is (validation error, if any, aside). We'll just have to fix things post-merge.
