Hello, there have been a lot of changes how udev works. I haven't been following these changes. Can somebody please give a summary?
Why for example lfs does not use hotplug anymore? Udev handles things itself I understand. Is this right? There are now more than one config file in /etc/udev/rules.d. Why? Is the newest udev compatible with older kernels, like 2.6.11.12?
