I tend to look at things from the other way around: if you are one of few who is slowed down by this (remote builds), then you probably make other changes already since most every single other command in the book has the -v option for even *more* output than you might find useful. Yes, that was the first thought. I am accustomed to seeing things scroll by during a build. When the screen suddenly doesn't for a minute or two, it makes you wonder if the computer indeed did just crash or not.
Sure, tail works fine, which I ended up doing. Sometimes it means having to start another ssh session to get that setup.
Again, not a big deal technically speaking. But it's not consistent with the rest of the book.
