Dan, I rebuilt the branch and I think that your wording may be incomplete or possible misunderstood. You have: Remember to ensure that the virtual kernel file systems are mounted when reentering the chroot. This process was explained in Section 6.2.2, “Mounting and Populating /dev” and Section 6.2.3, “Mounting Virtual Kernel File Systems”. The only way the virtual file systems will be unmounted is if the user specifically unmounts them or the system is rebooted and thus forces a the file systems to be unmounted. Perhaps the wording should be tweaked to something like: If the virtual kernel file systems have been unmounted, either manually or through a reboot, ensure that the virtual kernel file systems are mounted when reentering the chroot. This process was explained in Section 6.2.2, “Mounting and Populating /dev” and Section 6.2.3, “Mounting Virtual Kernel File Systems”.
