Hi folks,
Here's a set of patches that upgrade the following packages in trunk:
autoconf, binutils, bison, coreutils, gcc, gettext, m4, make, man-pages,
procps and shadow.
They've been produced using `quilt'. I'd recommend applying them in
alphabetical order as that's how they were produced.
I note that I still have commit access to the LFS repository, but
thought I'd check that this wasn't an administrative oversight before
actually (ab)using them :-)
This leaves Glibc and Linux as the only outstanding packages to be
upgraded. I would have tackled linux-2.6.17.7, but the current UTF-8
patch doesn't apply cleanly, and although I produced a diff that would
apply, I'm not certain that my changes were correct. As for Glibc, I
recall a couple of patches being submitted for various issues with it,
but haven't had time to hunt them down again.
Also note that the lfs-bootscripts and udev-config md5s are incorrect in
the book.
