Also the e2fsprogs make check fails when you have 256MB of ram, or
less. Never found time to add this to trac.
<snip>
I had 256MB Ram in this computer (and no swap at the time).
I then setup my 512MB SwapFile, and everything was well.
In which case, I don't think this is a bug.
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/6.2/chapter02/creatingpartition.html
already mentions the need for creating and mounting a swap partition.
It only says "it is a good idea", but doesn't say when exactly the
benefits vanish. So it is a good idea to mention the 256M requirement of
the testsuite.
One more related issue: I have to override this text in the LiveCD
README file. See
http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/livecd/browser/trunk/doc/README, search
for "RESUMING THE BUILD":
1) I have to ask the reader to mount the swap partition, because there
is no explicit "swapon" command in the book. Please fix this.
2) I have to ask the reader to use a separate swap partition if he wants
to use his regular distro while keeping the LFS build hibernated. You
may certainly ignore this very special issue in the book, but I need a
better wording for the README.
