Sorry, I forgot about this. It had been talked about so many times, I
forgot that the fix never actually got into the book. What Alexander
has added seems appropriate. Although most of the sane projects using
inotify use local header bits, this seems to make the system headers
actually usable. Haven't tested it, but it looks good.
Still catching up with the latest issues after a week away.
