But what causes the md5sums to differ? I downloaded
udev-config-20060715.tar.bz2 on 2006-07-24 and again just now
(2006-07-31). Although on untarring them, `diff' shows no differences,
md5sum reports:

7419583e248a7a44ad6e5e5dd1db52b8 (2006-07-31)
Why are the tarballs being regenerated when no commits have been made to
the files that they are comprised of?
