This is being done, but the messages are still in the log.
I'd hazard a guess that the message is output during:
src/su dummy -c "make RUN_EXPENSIVE_TESTS=yes check"
There's no way that the non-root run of 'make check' can no that we have
or haven't already run 'make check' as root.
