Hi all, Forced to bite the bullet and install Xorg-7.1 and wanted to say that y'all did a great job with the instructions. This is the first time I've read them and attempted to install. I've only scripted out the Protos installation, and it installed perfectly (in /usr/X11R7), but the remaining sections should be similar.
I see that for the next package I'll need to add an 'if' loop to look for certain packages and then do some special stuff if the package is found, but I can't see a whole lot else that will need changing in the new scripts other than all the ENV vars. Note that I didn't use anything close to the example script that is in the book, as I'm quite a bit more anal about individualizing the log files. Again, great job. -- Randy rmlscsi: [bogomips 1003.26] [GNU ld version 2.16.1] [gcc (GCC) 4.0.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.6] [Linux 2.6.14.3 i686] 18:05:00 up 30 days, 18:19, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
